Forged from aerospace-grade 300M alloy steel — a vacuum-melted steel with significantly higher tensile and fatigue strength than standard 4340 — and fitted with premium ARP Custom Age 625+ 3/8” rod bolts, the strongest and most fatigue-resistant fastener ARP makes. Available for J30, J32, J35, and J37 builds where failure is not an option.

Why 300M?

Our 4340 chrome-moly rods handle the vast majority of J-series builds. 300M is the next step up — the same aerospace alloy used in aircraft landing gear and the top levels of motorsport. It delivers higher ultimate tensile strength, superior fatigue life, and greater fracture toughness than 4340, making it the rod to reach for when you're chasing serious power or living at high RPM and high cylinder pressure for extended periods. Paired with ARP Custom Age 625+ bolts, it's the most capable connecting rod we offer for the J-series.
