Engine:  My top recommendation is the J32A3 from the 2004–2006 Acura TL, as it delivers the highest horsepower among the engines covered in this guide.

A strong second option is the J35A6, which offers the most torque out of all the engines on this list.

 Transmission:

For the transmission, my first recommendation is the 2004–2006 Acura TL 6-speed manual, which comes equipped with a factory LSD. The LSD makes a significant difference in managing the torque output of the J-Series engines. Another option is the 2003–2007 Honda Accord V6 manual transmission. While these units do not include an LSD, they are generally more affordable and easier to source than the TL transmission.

Keep in mind that junkyard transmissions are often missing parts such as the slave cylinder or the shifter cable bracket. We offer a billet shifter cable bracket that not only replaces the missing OEM part but also provides a stronger, higher-quality, and better-looking upgrade over the factory bracket.

You will also need a new clutch line for this swap. If you do not have the slave cylinder, we have a complete kit that includes Master Cylinder, Clutch Line & Slave Cylinder.

Mounts:
 We carry Hasport swap mounts.

Clutch Setup: ClutchMasters makes a wide variety of Clutches for this swap.

ClutchMasters offers a lightweight flywheel for this swap as well.

Shifter Box & Cables: The easiest and cheapest solution is to use the 03-07 Accord V6 shifter box and shifter cables. And then use the P2R shifter box base plate.

Axles: Insane Shafts offers the axles for this swap making it very easy. You will need to source a half shaft from a 01-03 Acura CL-S, TL-S. It can be purchased from an automatic vehicle

Header / Exhaust Manifold: We don't currently offer a swap exhaust manifold for these engines yet; however, we offer a tight radius starter exhaust manifold which makes it easy to build your own exhaust manifold.

Fuel System: We are offering plug and play fuel line kits for various vehicles. If you don't see your vehicle listed. Please feel free to reach out and we will help build a fuel system for your vehicle.

Wire Harness: We sell PJS Customs wire harnesses for various J swap applications. We also have a universal harness option which allows for you to easily get a J engine started up in just about anything.

ECU: Haltech Nexus S3 is a plug and play option for use with the wire harness listed above.

THROTTLE BODY: All of the engines covered in this article are Drive-By-Wire, while the EG, EK, and DC models are cable-driven. This means that their pedals are designed to pull a throttle cable. If you’d like to convert the throttle body on the engine to a cable-driven setup, we offer the Skunk2 70mm throttle body along with a throttle body adapter to mount it onto the Drive-By-Wire intake manifold.

If you prefer to keep the Drive-By-Wire throttle body, we also offer a pedal that can be installed to convert your car to a Drive-By-Wire setup. Additionally, our Nexus S3 harness supports both cable-driven and Drive-By-Wire throttle bodies, giving you flexibility in your setup.

Alternator Belt: If you are not planning to have AC in your J Swap, then we have the proper length alternator belt as well. This 6 rib belt runs directly from the crank pulley to the alternator. No need to use a tensioner as the belt is the proper length for when the alternator is bolted down in its original location.

On some swaps the Alternator hits the back of the head light.  For this we offer an alternator relocation kit that positions the Alternator at the bottom in place of the AC Compressor.
